Packaging Disposal Guide

The Aurelia Label is proud to use plastic free packaging in an effort to reduce plastic pollution. All packaging is either compostable, biodegradable, recycled, recyclable, re-used, re-usable, responsibly forested or plantable. Some types of packaging you may find with your order and the correct method of disposal include the following.

Compostable Satchels and Inserts

Our mailing satchels are made from corn starch, meaning it is completely biodegradable, while having the durable, waterproof qualities of a poly mailer. To dispose, take off any labels and throw it in with your food scraps. These bags are home compost and worm farm friendly.

Seeded Paper

Seeded paper can be planted. To achieve this, soak the seed paper in water until soft, place in soil and lightly cover with more soil. Water well until seeds sprout.

Cardboard Bubble Wrap

The cardboard bubble wrap is a more sustainable alternative to conventional plastic bubble wrap. This wrap is recyclable so should be disposed of in your recycling bin.

Packing Peanuts

The packing peanuts used are 100% biodegradable and made from a minimum of 30% recycled material. You can dissolve them safely in warm water.

Reusable bags

Our drawstring bags are made from cotton and can be reused. Perhaps use it to store items in the home,  as a lunch bag or as a produce bag at the market.

Recycled/Recyclable boxes/paper

Our boxes and paper are all recycled, recyclable and/or sustainably forested. Dispose of in the recycling bin, or re-use.

Labels

Our product and shipping labels are FSC certified, meaning the paper has been responsibly forested. They are also recyclable, so peel the label off any non-recyclable surface and add it to the recycling bin.

Plant based tape

Any tape you come across in your packaging is made from plant-based material, for a more ecologically friendly option.
